Innovative Software to Revolutionize Management and Analytics of Clinical Data
The HIVE (High Performance Integrated Virtual Environment) platform collects procedural and patient outcomes data before, during, and after procedures to improve patient care. Key features include:
- Integration of images, patient data, and self-reported information
- Development of software to fuse endoscopic images and new tools
- Use of AI and machine learning to predict patient outcomes
- Refining therapies based on real-time data
- Accelerating FDA submissions and reporting to agencies like CMS
- Supporting clinical research
HIVE also enables bidirectional communication with our PACS system and integrates multiparametric imaging (CT, MRI, US) with endoscopic visualization.

Advanced Imaging in Diagnosis and Therapies with Augmented Reality
By combining HIVE’s analytic capabilities with our advanced imaging techniques, we are accelerating our efforts as we gain a unique visualization of internal organs in augmented reality and redefine best practices for all those who require advanced GI care.
We are currently using data and imaging annotations to refine a machine learning algorithm to not only identify transition points (areas of narrowing) in patients with small bowel obstructions but also help identify imaging parameters that may indicate the likelihood of a specific small bowel obstruction ultimately needing surgery. We are confident this will allow us to better triage future patients who might benefit from these minimally invasive techniques.

Novel Surgical Techniques and Devices for Safer Treatments Using Only Local Anesthesia
We are pioneering minimally invasive surgical approaches and techniques that lead to better patient outcomes. By utilizing advanced techniques and state of the art devices, we perform procedures with smaller to no incisions which results in less pain, quicker recovery times and reduce complications. We are developing new approaches such as:
- Appendectomy under local anesthesia
- Small Bowel Obstruction treatment using colonoscopy/no surgery
- Local Ablation of Tumors that are curative and avoidant of major surgery
- 3D Imaging that is rapidly co registered onto the patient’s body for treatment
